Sit, Stay, Read!
Reading aloud is great practice for accuracy, speed, expression, and comprehension, but it can also be anxiety provoking. At this program, readers aged 5-12 can enjoy the quiet, judgement-free listening of certified therapy dogs. Schedule your 15 minute appointment with a certified dog/handler pair from Mountaineer Therapy Dogs and watch your student's confidence grow!
Due to the nature of this event, space is capped at 16 appointments. A waitlist will be developed, if cancellations or additional appointments arise. Walk-ins cannot be honored.
To Register: send an email to mmahoney@mcpls.org listing parent/guardian name, email address and phone, and the name and age of the reader. A confirmation email will be sent in return
