Speaking of Books: "Firehouse" by David Halberstam
Join Julie at the Fairview Public Library for Speaking of Books, an adult book club suitable for ages 17 and up. Each month we discuss a different title. This month's selection: Firehouse by David Halberstam, a powerful tribute to the FDNY firefighters of Engine 40, Ladder 35 who responded on 9/11. Through Halberstam’s intimate portraits, readers witness the events of that day and explore the deep sense of duty, courage, and community within the firehouse.
